Disabilities Awareness  Printer Friendly View

Disabilities awareness is an integral element in improving the lives of people with disabilities in our community. While the Commission is constantly striving to bring about greater awareness throughout the year, we set aside the month of October for formal proclamations from the Board of Supervisors and designated activities celebrating disabilities awareness. As a community, we all share in the celebration, the hopes and desires of people with disabilities to participate and be productive citizens regardless of whatever personal challenges each of us may experience. Together, with our experiences, we all can make a difference in our community. The following are materials we hope will be useful in bringing about greater awareness.
